WoW is pretty nifty as it is but there are some things that can add to that niftyness. Nifty + nifty = Double bubble. Here are some things you should be making use of:
Curse Client - download this and use the login details you have for this website. Et voila! It lists all your installed addons and allows you to update them all at once without having to visit the Curse website.
Ventrilo Client - (This is a must have if you want to be accepted for a raid) we use this to talk to each other during raids. You don't have to have a microphone, just being able to listen to the raid leader is fine. Occasionally used for gossiping purposes.
RAWR - Straying into complicated geek territory with this little app. You can import your character and then use it to see whether something is an upgrade for you or not. You can use it to completely change your gear, gems and enchants around to see what is the best setup for you. Mainly for DPS I believe. Feel free to ask for help with this one.
Female Dwarf - It sounds like a bad joke but this is a website specifically for hunters. It's similar to RAWR in that you can use it to calculate what gems, gear and enchants are best for your hunter.
NUI Addon - A UI skin for those who find Xperl to be a little too technical and hard to use, this one comes fully loaded and ready to run. To use the full version all you do is sign up to a newsletter - its that simple.
